Meet LaShaya
Special Needs Caregiver
Hi, I’m LaShaya Collier but my kiddos call me Ms. Shay.
As a young girl from New York City, my family and I were unfamiliar in the arena of special needs. Unknowingly, my nephew would be diagnose with autism at a tender age. My older sister would say things like "we have to try to understand him our way". My family lacked awareness of what journey we would embark on. I noticed the irrefutable struggles my older sister faced while seeking basic resources.
As a Special needs caregiver, I have spent time helping families navigate the endless hurdles that come with raising a child with disabilities. I understand intimately the emotional and spiritual struggles that families face when seeking basic resources for their loved ones.
That’s why I’m committed to helping each and every family I work with to overcome these obstacles, whether it’s staying up-to-date with doctors’ appointments, personally attending IEP meetings, or simply meeting their everyday needs. I am passionate about what I do and it shows in the success of my clients.

My Story
After witnessing my siblings go through the same diagnostic process over 30 years ago, I knew that I had to do something to make a positive difference in the world. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, my passion for helping others has only grown stronger. I am committed to supporting my clients by providing guidance, reassurance, and practical strategies that will help them achieve their goals.
Tragedy hit home and the sudden loss of my mother, sister, aunt and grandpa within a period of nine months, I relied on faith to overcome my grief. From that experience, I learned how much one's mental health and emotional well-being are essential to living a successful life. Today, I have taken all my experience, education, and personal beliefs to effect customized changes in my clients' life, improving their mental health, emotional well-being and sense of fulfillment.
My ultimate goal is to earn a PHD in clinical psychology.

With the help of God, I mentally felt the best I ever felt and I noticed everyone would tell me that “I seemed like I was doing this my entire life”. This was the first time I felt so much compassion for stranger's. I knew I would now be able to assist my family and other families by bridging the gap of "Lifestyle and convenience".

Eventually, God called me out of the northeast and brought me to the south. I started meeting parents that needed resources and aid. I knew this is what God had called me to do.
